Lab Technologist Job Description 1:

THE POSITION

Principally the Laboratory Technologist Quality Control will be involved in the day to day verification of the quality of products produced by confirming specific chemical properties. In addition, the Laboratory Technologist, Quality Control may be called upon to participate in other aspects of the laboratory activities related to research and product development.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

¨      Demonstrating support for the quality system through leadership by example.

¨      Working on laboratory projects assigned by the Team Leader.

¨      Performing routine lab tests to verify the quality of raw materials as required. 

¨      Performing regular and timely QC tests to verify the quality of products manufactured by the plant.

¨      Maintaining accurate test records. 

¨      Performing calibration tests at identified intervals on laboratory equipment. Ensuring that lab testing of new products and product enhancements are carried out under controlled conditions.

¨      Preparing samples for shipment as requested.

MUST HAVE:

¨       A minimum of a Diploma in Chemical Technology or an equivalent academic background

ASSETS:

¨      Knowledge and / or experience working in manufacturing setting

¨      Experience in customer service
