Mortgage Underwriter Job Description 1:

Receive mortgage applications and underwrite applications as per designated limits and/or ensure all terms and conditions are appropriate to the structure of the transaction under review. Prepare and review all mortgage applications/commitment letters as per Credit Policy and CMHC/Genworth guidelines

Candidates will have:

-a minimum of 3 years experience in an underwriting capacity (A lending)

• Knowledge of credit and mortgage loan underwriting practices
• Knowledge of CMHC/Genworth underwriting guidelines
• Underwriting analysis (credit, income, assets/liabilities, mitigating risks, etc.)
• Experience with auto underwriting systems (preferred)
• Customer Service
• Communication skills
